Goodwill

Having Goodwill for Our King

Have courage, let us have goodwill. Each one of us can stop receiving Communion in the hand and turn to the Traditional Latin Mass to receive Communion on the tongue while kneeling.

Men of goodwill do not deny the truth and trample on their King.

"Courage! God Asks of us only our goodwill. His grace does the rest. - St. Theophane Venard

Be Genuine

If we cannot be genuine with the truth, how can we be genuine with ourselves, and how can be genuine with Christ our King?

Be Humble

Through God, the humble will see and accept the truth because they have retained with them, the gift from the Holy Ghost, the fear of God.

"Humility is the fear of the LORD; its wages are riches and honor and life." ~ Proverbs 22:4

"And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord." - Isaiah 11:2-3

Without humility, Christ the King cannot reign in the hearts of men. Reverence and care for the Eucharistic King will be far away from our minds.

Being Offended by the Truth that is Christ the King

Let us not be offended by the truth, let us put Christ the King first. If we do not kneel, we trample on our King!

"He must increase, but I must decrease." - John 3:30

Selective Truth

Let us not be cafeteria Catholics. We cannot say we believe in Christ the Man-God, but not in the Eucharistic God. Furthermore, we cannot say we believe in the Eucharistic God (Host in hand) yet then ignore and discard the Eucharistic particles that have broken away in the hand and onto the floor; saying it is not Jesus. Every particle is Jesus. This is the inconvenient truth that many want to ignore. in order to keep receiving Communion in the hand.

Embrace the Truth

Can we have true allegiance to our King (Christ reigning in our hearts) if we do not embrace the truth?

We love to receive Communion in the hand but refuse to kneel (on the floor) and receive Communion on the tongue. Indeed because of this, Christ our Eucharistic King submits Himself to our will, causing Him to fall on the floor and be trampled on. This is God's humility and goodwill for us. Are we willing to let this happen to our King? Will we instead embrace the truth and submit ourselves to kneel and receive Communion on the tongue? Let us embrace the truth in humility and not indignation in pride.

"People hate the truth for the sake of whatever it is that they love more than the truth. They love truth when it shines warmly on them, and hate it when it rebukes them." - St. Augustine of Hippo

Being offended by Truth

If we are hurt and offended by the truth, is it not because of our pride?

When we love something more than truth, it is always the love of sin in one form or another.

We have seen faithful Catholics kneeling for Communion in the Novus Ordo Mass, yet the priest would be offended by the reverence for the truth of Christ the King and would sidestep the communicant and not give Communion.

"Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice." - Isaiah 59:15

Hygiene Issues

Some may be concerned with hygiene issues with Communion on the tongue, but what about the issue with Our King being on the floor? Should there not be any considerations of reverence and care for our Eucharistic King? Do we really believe in the Real Presence of God, or do we just have concern for ourselves first over our King?

Truly, where is the love?

Let us speak the truth. We know Communion in the hand leads to many cases of eucharistic abuse and yet Communion in the hand is promoted, while Communion on the tongue, which prevents eucharistic abuses, is discouraged and denied. If we stop to think for a moment, truly where is the love for Christ our King? Who will seek justice in the truth of Christ the King and return to the Traditional Latin Mass to show their love and allegiance to their King?

Causing Division

The division exists because truth and falsehood cannot unite. This is caused by those who do not wish to acknowledge the adverse truth of Communion in the hand, wishing to further promote this practice (in a unity of falsehood) - that Communion in the hand is reverent. Unfortunately many do not know the truth, that this practice causes Christ the King to be trampled on, and when the truth is made known, many are so accustomed to this practice, that the truth will be simply ignored.

Nevertheless, Christ is truth, truth will always prevail. The faithful will only unite in the truth of Christ the King and not a falsehood. The body of Christ the King must be treated with the utmost reverence and care. Let us unite in truth.

"Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another." - Ephesians 4:25

The Silence

Many will remain silent instead of telling the truth and defending our King. Yet many will choose to offend Christ the King by remaining silent, than offending his fellow man.

"We've had enough of exhortation to be silent! Cry out with a hundred thousand tongues. I see that the world is rotten because of silence." - St. Catherine of Siena.

Not My Fault

"It's not my fault the priest gives Communion in the hand."

Yet we have free will, we do not have to receive Communion in the hand; we can go to an exclusive Traditional Latin Mass church instead and receive Communion kneeling and on the tongue.

"Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord. Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you, and many sleep." - 1 Corinthians11:27-30

Free will comes with responsibility; receiving our King comes with great responsibility. Christ the King deserves our utmost reverence and care.

Too Far

Many will say that going to the Traditional Latin Masses is too far away. It's too much. Is it not worth the trouble for Christ the King? Let us contemplate the Passion of Christ.

The Real Presence

The fact is, the majority of Novus Ordo Catholics do not believe in the Real Presence of Christ the King and are perfectly fine with standing and receiving Communion in the hand.

On the other hand, the majority of Traditional Catholics believe in the Real Presence of Christ the King and are perfectly fine with kneeling and receiving Communion on the tongue.

Lex orandi - lex credendi. How you pray is how you believe.

Let us return to the practice of receiving Communion that reinforces the belief in the Real Presence. In doing so Christ the King is treated as He should be treated - With utmost reverence and care.

Glory be to God.
